What are you eating today: Friday edition

Happy Friday, Everyone! It is wet and soggy in Nashville so I have been having hot beverages today to keep me warm and toasty.  I like posting what I am eating...it keeps be on the straight and narrow. Here is my day so far: Coffee w/Hood's & Splenda Breakfast:  Latte made with 1 cup Labrada Vanilla, 3 shots decaf Illy espresso and a Tablespoon Droste cocoa Snack:  1 oz. Cabot's 1.5% Cheddar (Yum!) Lunch:  Warm Syntha 6 Mochaccino made with water and a splash of DaVinci French Vanilla 1/2 carton Fage 2% yogurt w/2 strawberries and Splenda Dinner will probably be taco soup

Hey there! Am I missing your food? All you have had to eat today is 1oz of cheese and some yogurt? I think you need some solid food. You are doing great! When I was at your stage, my hunger starting coming back but it looks like you are doing good. Keep up the great work. Breakfast - SW Style Egg Beaters and 1 piece of Whole Grain/wheat toast with SF preserves Mid-morning snack  - 1 banana Lunch - South Beach Diet mushroom and Spinach pizza and lots of grapes 1st afternoon snack - Yoplait yogurt 2nd afternoon snack (eating in a couple of hours) - Powercrunch Bar Dinner- No idea but I am craving Catfish so maybe we will go out for catfish to Uncle Buds.  Otherwise I am making baked chicken tenders and veggies w/cheese Late night snack - I never can go without something sweet at night these days. So, I am sure I will be having either a SF creme filled chocolate cupcake or some no sugar added butter pecan ice cream.  Gees - I eat all day long so how come I am still always hungry!  My baby girl just wants to eat and eat and eat. She is already taking after her momma!

Started with a EAS shake with a scoop of Any Whey Protein, went down smoooooth! Then sip, sip, Crystal Lite. Having Labrada Lean Body Bananas and Cream right now.

Sounds like you are doing great, but I want to warn you of something that I did not know in the beginning either, it seems that it is not stressed and then we all tend to find out later.  As you know, we are to get at least 80 grams of protein, but what most forget to tell us is that we can only absorb 30 grams at a time.  I am not getting on you so please don't think I am, I just want you to get the most out of the protein that you get in, because it is really hard to get it all in and we want it all to count!!!! By the way, how is the Bananas and Cream, I have been wanting to try it, but just haven't yet!!!  Let me know!!!  Has Debbie gotten her rest as well????  It looks like you are doing wonderful!!!

Shelia, I appreciate the info, yea my NUT sank that home with me about protein absorption. She also said if you spread out the drinking time you should get the most out the protein.  I've been trying to take it slow but always appreciate the reminders so easy to forget.  Deb's caught up on her sleep and doing fine she thanks you for thinking of her.  I liked the banana's and cream a little thick and sweet but pretty good.
