how long does it take?

How long does it normally take to get a surgery date after completing all requirements?  Maybe I am getting a little anxious!

Hon, I know this is not what you what to hear, but it is according to your Surgeon, and how his date book looks.  I got really lucky, my date was Mar 24th. Then the phone rang, I thought it one of the nurse prac. needing some more infor. or another test. instead it was Dr. Richards nurse asking me if I would be possible to move my date up to the 12th. Not a problem, it just happened. Don't worry sweetie, everyone does it. Patience was not one of my best features either. It's alright, and it's allowed, just think when you get the call, you will be jump'n on the inside. Barb

I got approval about a week after submitting paper work but it can vary depending on work load and such. Keep your chin up and just a side note you may want to call your insurance cmpy to make sure they recieved everything.

After sending in my paper work it took about 2 weeks.  Stay on top of things at Vanderbuilt and you can always email and ask them were you are at in the process.  Belive me when I say we all know about getting anxious.

Who do I need to contact?   I have left word for Erik McWilliams to call but haven't had a response.  I'm a self-pay so the insurance isn't an issue.  I'm just wondering if I am contacting the correct person. 

I started the process on Jan 04th and had surgery on March 24th.
