Submitted to BCBS

Sooo, I was at work yesterday and saw an email come across from Lisa at Centennial titled "It's Up to Blue Cross Now".  Well, I have been getting ramped up because a few weeks ago Lisa said I just needed to get lab work and nutritional evaluation done in order to submit to insurance.  I got the lab work done a few days after that and the nutritional evaluation this past Monday.  So, Centennial didn't get the lab work the first time I asked PCP to fax it over.  So, the other day ( bad memory, everything is the other day to me) I had PCP fax it again.  Yesterday morning I called Centennial to see if they got the nutritional evaluation paperwork and they hadn't so then I got on the horn to the nutritionist.  She went on to explain for reasons of paperwork being legible they don't fax it.  They send it through inter-office mail.  Well, okie dokie.  So, she went on to say normally takes a few days for them to get.  So, I was thinking... well, I've waited a year a three months.  What's a few more days?  Even though we know, when waiting for this sometimes a day can feel like a lifetime.  But, I just thought "Ehhh, I'll call Centennial back on Monday".  Then I get the email.  Lisa tells me that she has called BCBS and is now faxing everything over to them.  Hallelujah!!!  I got so emotional from that email and tears filled up on my eyes.  I had to step outside and collect myself I was so overwhelmed. Now, granted it's not the definitive "approved" that we all wait to hear but it means I'm that much closer.  Hopefully, I will have more good new soon.  I'm hoping and praying that I'll have approval by end of next week or sometime shortly.  Keep me in your prayers

Hey, pretty lady!  Just want to say this sounds like great news, and we will all be praying for your 'APPROVED' stamp on those papers.  It surely is a long wait...  and as impatient as I was/still am, I would be calling everyday.  Actually, no lie, in 30 days I called BCBST 40 times!  I called sometimes twice a day.  One rep told me NOT TO CALL BACK, they will send me a letter...  I said "Ok, talk to you next Tuesday..." (Monday was a holiday).  So, on Tuesday, sure as I said, I called them back.

Congratulations.  I know you are probably sitting on pins and needles even more now than before.  But hang in there.  You have a lot of people praying you get a speedy approval without any more speed bumps.  Keep us posted and keep on them to let you know.
