Slipped!!!
I know it's been awhile since I posted, but I've been ashamed. I have been slipping. Eating some snacks and food items I should not eat. I went to see Dr. Olsen today and in 6 months time, I have gained 11 pounds back. He told me not to beat myself up and they put me back on the 600 calorie a day food restrictions. I am barely overweight now. I do not look like it, but it is there in my stomach area. I hide it well. I need all the support and encouragement I can get. Please say some prayers for me. I go back again in 1 month. My vitamin D was down last time I went (3 months ago), so Dr. Olsen started me on a prescription strength Vitamin D for 3 months, which I have a month and a half to go yet. Also next time I go in Dr. Olsen is having me get a bone density test done. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care and e-mail me. Thank you so much!!!!

Congratulations to you for taking control of this. You will have that 11lbs gone in no time. I didn't take control bac****il I had gained 60lbs and let me tell you , it ain't coming off very fast, but atleast it is coming off. I have started back on a 400-600 calorie program and it is working, so just keep looking at the results you want and you will be back on track in no time. BTW, do you go to support group meetings? I find they are helping me more than anything else.

Thanks for the support. I do lead a support group that is falling short of people, but I talked with KH today and the other day, and I'm going to also go to the Lawrenceburg support group and see how it goes from there. Dr. Olsen said I should try to go to the support group at Centennial at least once a month eventhough I live so far away. So I will try that also. I have never been to a support group meeting at Centennial, so I'm sort of excited about that too.

are you a memeber of the Centennial Yahoo support group? If not, join . . You may be able to find someone from the area that would like to carpool with you to the Nashville meetings and that is always better to have a buddy to ride with.
Just in case you are not a member (we have a Robin , but don't know if its you) here is the link to join http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/centennial_support_grou p/

My vit d is also low. It always is. That is common in wls patients. I have purchased some bariatric advantage vitamin d caplets but right now I had some green 50,000 units left from last time and am taking them. But as soon as they are gone, I will start breaking those vit d caps open and taking one every day.
Don't beat yourself up over that 11 lbs. You can get that off in no time! I have faith in you. You have come so far and accomplished so much. Sometimes we just go through stages where we test the waters, or slip and take things for granted. Then we get on the scales and know we need to get back to basics... you will do this in no time. Up the protein... cut out carbs... and I bet in a week you will see 5 lbs gone! You can do it!!! Hugs!
