Crandale cheese - who knew?
Ok so I stopped at kroger for some rotisserie chicken. I have wanted chicken salad for several days. I always look in the deli section for cheeses. Today they had a sample with those little crackers which I dont like... anyway, I took one cause it had a tiny bit of cheese. I thought, wow thats cheap. Look how small that cheese is! I took the bite, and oh my heavens! It was so good!
I asked the deli lady what kind it was. She came and showed me Crandale Wensleydale with cranberries. OHHhh hallelujah! I bought me a small wedge for almost $10! Wha? But it was so heavenly and good...
I made my homemade chicken salad and crumbled some of that on top, rolled it all up in a low carb flatbread which is also great! It's very low carb Lite Italian Herb I got on sale at Walmart. Oh I ate all of it. It was so good. So if you see the cheese, let me say it is worth the money!
I just put grapes, fuji apple, dill seed, whipped salad dressing, pecans, rotisserie white chicken in my bowl. It was delishus!
At the holidays you can get Crandale from Sam's and Costco too. (you get a nice chunk for $10.00) It is also at Whole Foods in Green Hills if you are ever there. I have some in my fridge too. One of my favorite things in the world to make are Cheese Plates...so we try all sorts of wonderful cheeses... and a few not so wonderful ones in the process....

You will have to give me the top 10 list of your cheese recommendations. I love cheese. There is a very "orange strong" cheese I have tried, and I do not know what kind it is but its so good... its been awhile since I had it... I also love the kind they have at my doctor's Christmas parties. But I dont ever know where to find them....
That sounds really good. I am going to see if I can find some Crandale Wensleydale with cranberries... I love cheese and I love cranberries. Sounds like a perfect union...LOL...
Did you happen to read the label on the package where they list the ingredients? I hope they used fresh cranberries with no added sugars on the cranberries.
I get discouraged sometimes when I see a bag of dried cranberries or cherries or mangos, only to read in the listed ingredients that they added processed sugar to the fruit. Why do they feel the need to add sugar to something that is naturally sweet by nature. Oh well....
