Soy Nuts
Has anyone tried Soy Nuts? I have some that I've tried and they are pretty good. They provide a good crunch, are a little on the salty side and have about 9 or 11 grams of protein for just 1/4 cup - of course, I can't eat 1/4 a cup of them, but maybe over the course of the day I could. Anyway, if you have tried them, let me know what you think of them.
Hey, I love soy nuts and use them for lots of things......grind them up and make a nutty crust for a quiche(sp) grind up in fp adding 1 Tbs of flour (i use whole wheat) after that mix in some melted marg or butter and press into pie pan I only do the bottom not the sides I baked it for 5 or so minutes before putting the rest in.....give salmon a great crusty crust paint the fish with egg whites and pat the lightly smashed up nuts and seasoning bake in oven.
Thanks for the ideas. This is so new to me and I'm having to learn how to cook all over again. But I'm finding there are more things out there that I enjoy that I probably would have never tried before. Now if I can just keep my Jack Russell Terrier from attaching me whenever I eat soy nuts because she loves them almost as much as I do (LOL).
