Wows and more wows

Good morning everyone. It seems like I have a wow every day. I will list a few that I can remember and you can deceide  if they count as wows. The big one is I finally weigh less than the old fart. I can wear his sweats which are baggy but warm and you know how cold we get after losing so much weight. I can drive my car now and my belly doesn't rub on the steering wheel. I mowed last week and it felt so strange not to feel squeezed in the middle. I can sit in the recliners and the dog can lay beside me when he will get off my lap. I can tie my shoes in the middle instead of on the sides. I put the railings down on my bed I don't need them to pull my self up. I can get down on the floor and back up with holding on to some thing and on and on. You all know what I'm talking about. Now I have a question for you all. Do you count your weight loss from the highest ever weight or from when you first started your surgery journey? A few years ago I weighed 252 but I weighed 240 last March when I started this whole thing. The old fart says 240 please tell me he is wrong, I live for the few times he is wrong.   Have a good day. Hon I started my journey at 317lbs but my highest weight was 326 in Dec. 06. So I have been in that same toss up. What do you do. So I just decided to go with the highest weight. Because I was that until Aug of 07, So hon, if you want to start at your highest weight then you just go ahead. And don't let anyone tell you no different..... Big ole hugs sweetie..... Congrats on your WOW moments!  I, too, use my highest weight.  Starting to lose from there WAS the beginning of my Weight loss journey! Marilyn

Those are all good WOW moments I would like to know that question too on what weight we go by,  my highest weight was 246 and my surgery weight was 233, by my surgery weight I have lost 70 but if I go by my highest weight I have lost 83 pds.Too me any and all are good number and lets not forget about the INCHES we have lost in my belly alone I have lost about 15 inches. well the boobs went south and I have gone down 2 bar sizes more if I didnt have the extra skin,  MY WOW moment is I wear the same size I did 24 years ago when I got pregnant for my son, and it would even be smaller if I didnt have the belly hang over now if they could take what in the front and place it in my BUTT which is now flater then a pancake never had one to begin with but now mmmmmmmmmm. I had a flat belly when I got pg with my son.  The belly didnt start untill just before I got pg with my daughter 19 years ago, after all the surgerys I had and didnt tight the abs back up.  My point to this is I think its all WOW moments for us. Being healthy is the biggest. HUGS ANNRENEE

Well the insurance uses your highest weight two years pre-op to qualify you so I think that would be the reasonable start weight?

I agree with Bob!  I use my highest weight because that is what my insurance used.

And as for the wow moments...they are all fantastic!!!!

Congratulations on a successful re-birth!

Good morning Darlene. How are you doing now? I like your new avartar.  Are you still doing meeting? I've tried to find some one that is near by that is coming to a meeting but haven't found any one so far. Hell I can't even find some one to come to my meetings. I thought I had 2 news ones but they only came to get thier papers signed for thier docs. Sherry my first member doesn't come any more and the lady from Parsons came once but I never know about her. I have moved my meetint to my home because I got tired of sitting at the library and no body showing up. I don't know what is wrong with this area I know there are people around that have har surgery because differnt people tell me about them.  Gotta go take my baby out.  Birdy

Birdy,          First let me begin by saying that you are looking fantastic!!!  Second, do not be discouraged about the lack of individuals at the meetings, it is sad, but many do not see the importance that Support Groups actually have to their continued success.  Keep you chin up, you are doing WONDERFUL, LOSER!!
