Restaurant Card

Hubby and I went to a restaurant tonight and I tried to order off the children's menu. The server wanted to see my "Card" for WLS. He said that with the card, he could let me order off the children's menu. As far as I know, my surgeon doesn't give a card? Do any of yours? If so, can someone scan it for me so I can get my surgeon's office to make one? It is ridiculous to order a full size meal and eat only 1/4 of it or less. I usually eat off my husband's plate IF he orders something I can eat, but tonight he didn't. Marilyn

Hey Marilyn! Try this link, http://www.obesityhelp.com/magazine/RestaurantCard.html for a wls restaurant card. Some places except them, others do not. Good Luck. Beth

Vandy gave me a card. I only have to use it if we go to a buffet. I have never had anyone question me when I ordered off the kid's menu other places. Where were you? Marie

I received my card right away when I got my surgery. I carry that in my wallet at all times but have never had to use it yet. Most times I eat out I have the kids with me so maybe they think I am ordering for them?
