I have been doing the same workout routine for a while and I need something new. I looked into it and I am going to try a kick boxing exercise class tonight at the Y. I might need some prayers to make it through,  it is 45 minutes long.. Wheeew. I can do this !!!! : )

Hi sweetie Juanita.... Wow kick boxing??  45 minutes is a long time....  but you can do it...  My daughter did kick boxing and she loved it...

Now me,  I'm thinking the yoga is more my thing or pretty much any exercise class where we get to mostly lay on the floor....LOL

Also I remember the Y in Springfield had a stationary bike class,,  hmm I am trying to remember the name of it....  but now that we are smaller I'm thinking those bike seats that are this size of a slice of pizza (small slice) may not be so painful anymore......LOL

Hey Trina ! I tried the Yoga once at the Y and if you think it's for sissy's your wrong!! I was sore for a few days afterwrds. The Y in Springfield does have a spinning class on the stationary bikes and it looks very hard !!!! Wheew they wear me out just looking at them when I walk by while the class is going on. Your right those seats do look awfully small.. LOL

I walked 5 miles today. (the dog is now sleeping on the cold tile) Did 45 minutes of weights, and my side bends but with the medicine ball.

I walked my mile and then I worked all day.   They have started encouraging folks to use the step counters.   My counter today (including my mile) is already up to 8400 steps.   (2000=1mile)   This is an average day here at work. Sherry

I had an "equipment orientation" at the Y tonight while my boys had their swimming lesson. For about an hour, I went from machine to machine and did about 15-20 reps on each one. Feeling new muscles even as we speak! Oh, and last night, I did 30 minutes of various exercises w/ my free weights. One way or another, I'm determined to keep my exercising a priority even as the rest of the world rushes in!         ~ tara
