My family and I are spending it with friends.  My best friend has all of her family, us, and several other friends over every year.  There winds up being about 40-45 people there.  We eat and then we hide Easter Baskets.  She makes an Easter Basket for every individual there.  The adults put the kids in a room and we hide their baskets and then the kids put the adults in a room and they hide our baskets.  Much fun is had by all.

That will be day 12/14 of my pre-op diet so I think I will have a protein shake for breakfast and a SF popsicle for snack, a South Beach frozen dinner for lunch, then a SF jello for snack and another protein shake for dinner........along with going to a baby shower for my daughter in-law hosted by her boss's wife for all her co-workers and classmates.   I'll have to take some broth or jello and pretend that it is cake and mints. Tim & I are invited to my mom's house for Easter dinner.  She of course will cook a huge meal for 200 people!  And, like always, there will be nothing I can eat except some chicken.  She always makes mac & cheese, potato salad, ham, baked beans, all kinds of stuff  that I am unable to eat.  But bless her heart, she loves all her 4 kids and thinks the ultimate way to show your kids you love them is to cook a very high starch high carb dinner... she will probably make angel food cake with marshmallow icing and say "You mean you can't have that?"  UHHHhhh NO!  But I love her and enjoy being with the family.  Then we will go home and eat something GOOD for me.

I am going to my sister's house in Georgia.  I am going to make a sugar free cheesecake that Cindy made when I visited her in Huntsville last month.  We are going to grill chicken ka bobs.   She is very cognizant of my dietary needs and does everything possible to make it easy for me.  I look forward to spending time with her and my nephews.  Marilyn

We usually go to my parents for easter.  My whole family(about 40-50 people) will be there.  However, this year hubby and I are going to be in the Smoky Mtns.  My birthday is Saturday so this trip was my present but then I bought a new car over this past weekend so I guess now that's my present (for the next 10 years!!!!)  Hope everyone has a wonderful easter. Our little 4-some will be at church at 8am for the 1st service, followed by the 2nd service. Around 11:30, we and some friends will head to one of Harrison's favorite place to eat: Ichiban buffet in LaVergne. It is Chinese, so I'm sure there won't be much of a crowd on Easter Sunday (). I thoroughly enjoy their shrimp (all you can eat) and chicken on a stick.  Then we will come home & hang out as a family the rest of the day   --  woohoo! I don't have to work, as the Y is closed on Easter! And next week is spring break for the kids, so we won't even have to cut it short for an early bedtime. I'm actually quite excited... ~ Tara
