knoxville/oak ridge area groups?

I have my surgery one week from today and would like to get involved with anyone in the knoxville area. I am going to need all the support I can get as I am so nervous.... I know is't pre surg jitters but it's really starting to get to me now. I live on the other side of Oak Ridge. my dr is dr williams and will be at parkwest mon the 24th for the big day.... any last minute suggestions???  Thanks Laura

Welcome to the Tennessee board. Dr. Boyce did my surgery in October...Dr. Boyce and Dr. Williams and the office staff are all wonderful! I attend the North Knoxville Support Group...the info is posted on the Yahoo KnoxvilleWLS group site along with the Oak Ridge group. The support group meetings are a great place to meet others who are going through the same things you are experiencing.
I love this board as a support group on a daily basis...hope you visit us here often!

Laura, Dr. Boyce did my surgery on August 27, 2007.  The support group in Oak Ridge is supposed to be great!  They meet once a month.  You should check with the office and get the details. Good luck tomorrow!
