Hello from a new member!

Hi Ashley, So glad to meet ya. I'm Barb, I just had my surgery last week, the rny, and do'n great, Dr. Richards is wonderful, and his staff is top notch, too. There are alot of great ones out there. But I really do have to admit you have the best board, we get together for the dinner club, and then the lunch bunch.  Wow and have the best time for support, share so much with each other, new receipes and ideas, what they have found that bothers them and helps them. Thank you all! Hee, I didn't expect such a warm welcome. I live in Holladay, an out of the way little town between Nashville and Jackson. And I chose the sleeve procedure because I dislike the idea of such a 'large' foreign apparatus in my body that I'd have to live with, as in the lapband. I guess it's sort of a religious thing.. And the rny scared my mother a little, she's a nurse and found the sleeve to be a less risky option in her opinion, and I fully agree. I couldn't have done this without my mom, she's my biggest supporter, and finding something that we both agree on is great. She was very uneasy with the rny and it was making me feel uneasy too. :)  Baptist referred us to Dr. Richards when they decided not to preform my surgery there (when we were considering the rny) because of my age.
