Support Groups

Hello all! I just had Lap band surgery on the 11th. I am looing for support groups in Murfreesboro, Nashville or surrounding areas. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Laura, Centennial has just started a lap band group which is being co-led by Holly (Dr Houston) and myself. The first meeting is Tuesday April 1 at 5:30 at the Center. There is also a group which meets at Baptist the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 in the Guy Bates Conference Center at Baptist. The Centennial group will be meeting the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 in the Center Classroom. Hope you can make it. You just had surgery this past week? How are you doing?

I have never been to the one at Baptist.  I think it meets the second Thursday of the month, but I'll have to look in my papers and make sure.  I am going to try and go next month, I think it is a good idea.  I had Lap Band on 2/14/08.

Dr. Westmoreland has support groups in the Boro. (Over behind Kroger on the main drag)

Hi Laura, I had lap-band surgery on 11/29/07 with Dr. Dyer at Centennial.  My support group starts tomorrow night, the 17th. in Shelbyville at Fair Haven Baptist Church, 2726 Hwy 231 N.  It's on the Murfreesboro side coming into Shelbyville.  The support group starts at 7pm.  I hope to see you there. Thank you so much! I am glad to know there is such a variety! I am not sure if i can make it to the one tomorrow because i still can not drive but maybe i can next time! I will  be at the new one at Centennial! Thank you again! I hope everyone has a great day!
