A wow moment or two!

Well guys - I have been EXTREMELY busy this semester with my graduation approaching.  I have been trying to decide if I should stay where I am or move back to Knoxville.  I'm also trying to locate a job.  So... things have been kinda stressful.  I apologize for being a slacker to all of you who have been there for me with encouragement and kind words!   My most recent wow moment came while I was at a birthday party for a very dear friend.  I hadn't seen many of these people since high school.  I have NEVER received so many compliments in all my life!  Everyone was shocked at the way I looked.  I also had a shocking moment when I put on a pair of SIZE 14 jeans!!!!!   I can't believe it!  I currently weigh 168lbs and I am in a size 14?!?!?!?!  It's just amazing.  I have had so many people ask about the surgery and I love telling my story.  I don't leave any of the bad things out.  I feel that if they are asking I will give them MY honest experience.   I can say that I don't regret one day that I have had the surgery.  Even when I take my clothes off and I look like a big puddle of skin.  I am so much happier and healthier than I have ever been!  I've even started talking to a special guy!   I still have problems with seeing myself as a big girl.  I hope that gets better.  I hear from people all the time "get clothes that fit and show off your body!!"  It's just hard picturing myself smaller - even looking in the mirror.  I have looked at pictures and I didn't even recognize myself in a few of them.  I was like "Who is... OMG - that's me?!?!?!"    It's been an amazing journey and it's not over yet!!!!   Take Care- ~Amber~

Congrats Amber.  You are doing a fantastic job.  Don't worry about the mental part, it takes our brains to catch up with our bodies.  I'm sure all those who've reached their goals will agree with that.  Just continue on your path and it will all align in time.  Congrats on the size 14's!!!!
