My 2 Month Check-Up

I saw Dr. McDowell for my 2-month check-up today and all is good.  We discussed my hospital stay last week and he has revised his diagnosis - for now.  He seems to think I was probably dehydrated, constipated and probably had a gastro-intestinal bug.  So, he has indicated I am to stay on the Protonix for a full 30 days and then go back to the Pepcid.  He said once I went back on the Pepcid, if I had another incident, he would definitely bring me in to scope me as that would indicate to him there was something going on.  Anyway, his nurse and the nutritionist (as well as him) are all encouraging and proud of my progress to date.  Some days, I don't feel I'm losing fast enough and then other days, I think it's going to fast.  But, all in all, everything is good.  I am finally off pureed's and I'm lovin' it.  Being really good and not going overboard, but real food that you actually chew just tastes so much better.  For the rest of you losers out there, keep up the good work and have an awesome weekend.

Hey Wendy,

Glad to hear things are good for you.  I hear ya about the pureed food.  I'm ready for something more solid.  Met hubby at Cracker Barrel for lunch(when I FINALLY got back to Kentucky).  I didn't leave the office until about 11:45.  I go back on July11 at 9:30.  How about you?

I'll be there the same day at 9:05.  Looks like we will be seeing each other then.  I think I was finally home about 11:30 or so.  I had to go by the office and pick up some work as I decided not to go to work today.  My mother's twin sister passed away this morning and she wasn't doing well, so I wanted to be where I could get to her quickly if she needed me. Any way, see you in July if not before at one of the Lunch Bunch get togethers.  Have a great weekend and keep posting and losing.
