Hi Joyce, If I read your post right are you saying that you are unable to keep liquids down?  If that is the case I really think you need to call your surgeon's office.  If you can not keep liquids down you will become dehydrated which is not good and that can cause all kinds of problems.

thanks...what I should say is that I can get a low protein drink down and it stays down, but when I add powder extra it just comes up.  Have talked to my doctor he say you just have to keep trying.  any ideas?

Not sure if it is the same for RNY'S but when I can't keep food down, I go back to nothing but liquids for 2 days, then slowly start with the soft foods. Might try smaller protien drinks more often than the normal 3 a day, try cutting it down to 6. Maybe the smaller drinks might help. You done good by calling the Dr when you did, that is a big plus. Just sip, sip, sip and stay in touch with your doctor. Hope things get better real soon. Are you able to eat anything?  Is it just when you add a certain type of powder?  Or any powder?  Are you able to drink something and make it stay down, such as crystal lite?

I can keep kystal lite down, slim fast sf down, but as soon as I add protein to boost up my protein, up it comes.  Maybe my head is playing mind over stomack game.  Food I puree it it goes down and them back up.  I will be 3 weeks out Friday and feeling I am not getting enough in?

OK you're getting stuff down...  so that is great.  It's JUST when you put in protein powder....?  What kind are you using?  That might have a lot to do with it...  we need to try to get you something that will work...  are you using unjury?

Melinada,,, Do you think Joyce is having an adverse reaction to a certain powdered protien.   I am kind of leaning that way.....   Hey Ms. Joyce are you using Unjury protien powder??????
