My question for you was going to be, How much water are you getting in? Also, check your protein, carb and calorie intake. You want 70% of your calories to be protein. If your protein intake is low, your weight loss will slow down too. As a nurse, I'm sure you know that the best way to get rid of fluid retention is to drink more water. So make sure you are well hydrated. If the body thinks it is being starved, it will hold onto everything it does get. Many of us have found 5 -6 mini meals work better than 3 meals. A mini meal would be 1/2 of what would be your normal meal eaten every 2 - 3 hours. This lets the body know that it is going to get fuel every few hours and usually ends starvation mode. At your stage, you are not physically able to eat enough to fuel your body for the 4-6 hours until your next meal. The weight will come off sweetie. Hang in there!

One thing I will say on protein bars.  Be very cautious with them.  Its best to do protein shakes with water, not milk at this point, so that you can get optimum results.  Up the number of protein shakes because it will do a few things: 1.  Protein helps you lose more weight 2.  It counts towards your "water"/fluid intake (64 oz) each day 3.  Keeps you satisfied more and longer Hope this helps.  Great job on getting back to Fitday!

I agree with everyone else and the only thing I can add is that working out builds muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat.  Throw the scales away they can make you crazy.
