I really need to hear from those of  you who struggled during this period.  The first day was extremely hard as I had a long day, I know I was also probably withdrawing from sugar and the stuff.  Yesterday wasn't as bad.  I am extremely hungry right now and I know I can only have  a shake or bar...I am drinking crystal light with my "meal" to help fill me up.  But boy....

I also know I want to do everything I can to help the surgeon.  Just today is only 3rd day.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH SOME EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU WENT THRU....to get to surgery date.

Thanks in advance,

Sharon/Memphis

Thanks Barbara, I guess I wasn't looking outside of the box....so I got some SF popsicles and it helped.  Trying to follow the paper exactly but then adfter you said this,,,I can have crystal light  so why noy sf pops.  DUHHHHHH. I have another friend who is complaining of the boredom.  Here surgery is Tuesday.  I went to John Prime last night and kept a bottle of water with me and that really helped me thru the intermission. I also have lost 2 lbs and keep remembering...this is only one meal a day, or one hour, or one minute....just withdrawing.   So how are your emotions doing...since your big day is right around the corner. Thanks for the support Sharon/Memphis

Sheila, As I said to Barbara,  I guess I wasn't looking outside of the box....so I got some SF popsicles and it helped. Also, I thought with doing 1 meal a day with a protein shake it would make more of an impact...what I failed to remember is I was eating anything I wanted and as much as I wanted.  That is what I am dealing with now.    What is SF Snow Cream?   Sharon/Memphis

When I was little and we got a snow, my dad would cover the picnic table and collect the snow, then he would come in add vanilla, sugar, and cream to it to make an ice cream type mixture, it was soooo good!!!!  I guess we could use Labroda, and Splenda, but the only things are, you could not use the first snow fall and we don't tend to get enough snow anymore to actually get a second snow!!!  So I guess it will have to wait to have a Protein Sugar Free Snow Cream.  It is one of those childhood memories that always surface when it snows, especially this month since it will 20 years that my father has been gone on the 20th.

Hi Sharon: You can do this....  You can do this... I have a friend that had WLS a couple of years ago and the surgeon at that time did not require a 2 week liquid diet.  She had a "Last Supper"  horaahh  the night before surgery. When she had her WLS, during the procedure her liver was ruptured....  Cost her 3 additional days in ICU.... I thought in the beginning of my weight loss surgery they were punishing me and being unreasonable because dang I had just lost 10% of my body fat on my own on a 6 month supervised weight loss program...How much torture could one human being endure... Looking back now I consider myself so fortunate and blessed that I was tortured with the 2 week liquid diet.... LOL Sharon, We are all behind you hun.....
