I am alive and missing everyone.

Hey guys, well, many of you may have thought I dropped off the planet but I am back.  I am on someone else's computer right now so I don't have lots of time but I wanted to stop in and say hi and tell you a very brief synopsis of things...I had my back surgery in Dec., got infected with MRSA, nearly died, Eddie saved me...took me to Memphis and emergency surgery, week in ICU, month in the hospital, two more surgeries...got out second week of Feb.  IV antibiotics through a PICC line until last Friday.  Very lucky to be alive and as you can see my typing is not back to speed just yet.  In a brace for two more months.  Docs told us that if Eddie had waited one more day to bring me in, I would have died.  Said it was worse infection surgeon had ever seen in his career.   So that's a very short version for now, haven't been ignoring anyone, just been very sick.  We now have nearly a million in medical bills...but I don't even care because I am alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, the surgery was overall successful and I now have a straight back...only problem is I can't stop losing weight.  I am now 5'7.5" tall...I gained two and a half inches in height, but I can't stop losing weight.  With the 8 pounds of steel in my back I am still just 122...for my new height it is underweight.  I would be happy at this weight, size 4/6, but the problem is that I can't get it to stop.  I know it will work out though because God obviously has plans for me. Will post again soon...I love you guys and please keep me in your prayers!

Kym I was worried!  I called and called, and emailed but no replies.  I was beginning to think you had forsaken all of us!  Maybe something had happened, or I didn't know!!!  but I am so glad that you are ALIVE and that you are here to tell us how you are doing!    Thanks  to God for your recovery!  You have sure been through a lot.  And we have all missed you so much.  Girl you are skinny minny.  I am proud of you, and guess what? Still have those size 4's that you lent to me.  I never got to wear them!

Kym, I know I was worried, and felt so bad that I never got the package sent to you.  I even posted asking for news about you as I too, would email and get no responses.  Thank you God for saving Kym.  Honey so sorry you had to go thru all this.  What you keep losing, I'm gaining back.  I have 15 lbs to lose now that I gained in one month.  I will continue to keep you in my prayers.  Here's praying for a speedy recovery and back to a healthier you.  Love you

Hi Kym,   So glad you are doing better now.  So sorry you had to go through all of those difficulties though.  Infections are nothing to take lightly; glad you are on the road to recovery.  Hope we all get to see you soon.  Take care!

I am so glad to hear from you. I thank God for bringing you through all of this and putting you in the hands of good medical care. You are right about the money, it will take care of itself. The important thing is that you are still here with Eddie & Savannah, and everyone else who loves you. I'm sure the continued weight loss is from everything your body has been through. Hopefully it will stop soon. If not, I'm sure Dr. H will step in to help. Love ya girl! Let me know when you feel up to making a Lunch Bunch and we will make sure to schedule it in Cool Springs. Or, if you are up to some company, perhaps we can schedule another road trip to Lawrenceburg.
