Pat and I passed our dance test tonight (We had to dance in front of the manager of the dance studio.....) and have moved up a level....so we will be adding in more difficult foot work and moving around the floor a lot more.. Whoopie!!!!!

Good for you! When did you start the lessons and where are you taking them?  I am sooooo jealous! OOPs! Did I just type that out loud? That is one thing that is on my to-do list with my weightloss... I've never known how to dance and I want to learn SO badly! Congratulations! you are my new inspiration... ~ Tara

Hi Tawnya, that is great.  After watching Dirty Dancing, and Shall we Dance with Richard Gere and J Lopez I have wanted to take lessons to learn.  Great excercise too.  Need to find one in the Lebanon area or near here.  What's the next dance you will be learning?  Have fun, Love

The 3 Major Dances that we want to become proficient in are:  The Waltz, The Rumba and The Tango.  We also want to be able to "hold our own" in The Fox Trot and East Coast Swing.  :o)  That is for starters.  When we complete this level in about 3 months we will then add the Cha cha cha, Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Bolaro, and Samba.  However, these other ones will be a lot further down the road....

I am familar with the Waltz, the Rumba, and the Tango from the movie "Shall We Dance", the Fox Trot from "Dirty Dancing", haven't heard too much about the others.  But once I am back on my feet financially, I plan on learning.  Thanks so much for the response.  I take that back, I have heard of the Cha cha cha, Mambo, and the Merengue from Dirty Dancing too. The more I see these dances the more I want to learn.  Who knows, someday you may be competing in Europe for the International title.  Just keep working on them and have fun at it.

Love Kathy
