That's right, I got rid of 3 - count 'em, 3 - drains today not just the 2 I thought they were going to remove. They think the other 2 will be ready to come out next Monday. Oh yeah, I'm a happy girl! Everything is healing nicely. Dr. Wagstrom did say that I am quite puffy and swollen. I'm thinking, if this is swollen I can't wait to see what it looks like without swelling. Everything is so flat and I look TINY even to me!!

That's wonderful!   I can't wait to see you at the next luncheon. (Won't be at the dinner on the 29th)   I'm sure you feel much more normal now that those pesky things are out.  Have a good evening.   Beth

Yeah, 2 drains are much easier to deal with than 5 were. Just trying to keep all of the tubing out of the way and unkinked was a challenge. Sorry I won't see you on the 29th. We'll all have big changes by March 8th.

That is wonderful, I am so glad you are doing so well!!  How has the pain been, I know you said it was not as bad as you had thought, but I was wondering if it is still the same.  Did she say how much she removed, I know that you were wondering this as well, had an estimate, but were waiting to see her to find out exacts!!  I am so glad you are posting some again, can't wait to have you back more often!! Love Ya, Shelia

The pain has not been as bad as I expected. I haven't needed a pain pill since Friday. I needed them every 4 hours for the first day or 2 I was home and quickly moved to every 6 hours or more. I'm usually stiff when I first get up in the mornings and it gets better as I move around. I haven't had the gas pains like with the WLS since this was open for the hernia repair. Dr. Wagstrom did tell me she removed 4000 grams from the front, 3000 grams from the back and 400 cc with lipo. She said it was right at 10 lbs total weight removed. She also told me I didn't have a lot of fat for her to remove in the outer thigh. The main reason she lipoed the thighs was to loosen the skin so it would pull up smoothly when she did the LBL. Almost all of my stretch marks are gone. She also brought "the girls" closer together by extending the midriff incision farther up my chest. My incisions look so nice and neat. Even my sister commented on how neat the stitching was. I think I am going to be very pleased with my scars. I'll have Bill take some pics when we do my bath tonight and let y'all see what things look like. I have before pics for comparison. I can tell you that my waist has gone from 34" preop to 31 3/4" yesterday and that's measuring over the girdle and with swelling.

Susan!!!! I am sooooo excited for you! I've been thinking of you and meaning to call, sorry I haven't.  but the best part of your post was when you said you look tiny - even to you!! Isn't that just HUGE?!! (or tiny!) Anyway, it seems like it takes forever for us to see ourselves as others see us... I know I see myself and think I look like I've 20 pounds, not 85. What an epiphany - for you to see yourself as "tiny"; as "flat"!  Congratulations! Can't wait to see your tiny self! ~ Tara
