Ulcers anyone?

Did anyone get ulcers after surgery? If you did how long did it take for them to go away? I just spent the day in the hospital yesterday because of a stoma and they found a small ulcer.

Gidget,          My surgeon requires that his patients take a Rx of Pepcid for one year following surgery to help protect our pouches, do you already take this? I sure hope you get better soon!! Shelia

My doc didn't do that for me. I was on Tagament for GERD, but they told me I could stop taking it at my 2 week appointment. He then gave me another scrip for Prevacid yesterday. BUT my insurance will not cover it until we try a different med first. So now I am on Carafate and hopefully by tuesday I can be on prevacid.
