My First Valentine

There are so many things obesity has stolen from us...  and they are different and vary from person to person.  One thing I have strived to do is to slowly take back and enjoy all the things that I never got to do...  this season, Valentine's Day, was no different.  I never had a boyfriend on Valentine's Day until this year.  Tim is my first Valentine!  He knows how important it is for me to reclaim life, and this morning he gave me the silver Journey necklace and earrings.  They are so pretty!  I was surprised...  tonight we stayed in... after all, have you seen the crowds of people at restaurants on Valentine's Day?  When I got home, Tim had a stuffed teddy bear, which was so cute, on the kitchen counter with a card...  We both cooked dinner together...  I did the salads, peas, carrots & red peppers, and the dessert.  He did the chicken.  We had sugar free angel food cake with sugar free strawberry glaze, strawberries, whip cream for a shortcake type of dessert.  It was good.  Later I had a small glass of spumante that I had bought at New year's and its been in the fridge unopened until this special occasion.  It was a good evening, and I am so happy and amazed at life after wls...

What a lovely Valentine's Day!  I hope that this is just the first of many to come.  You are too sweet for words!

Sounds like you two had a perfect valentine's evening. I'm so happy for you both! I'm sure Tim enjoyed getting to surprise you and pamper you just as much as you enjoyed being surprised and pampered. You deserve it. Bill snuck in while I was asleep in the recliner and placed a teddy bear beside me. I woke up as he closed the door going back out to get the rest of the groceries from his truck. I had bought him a card and gift before my surgery and had my daughter retrieve them from my hiding spot when she was here Tuesday, so I did have something for him. The best part of my valentine's evening was a shampoo and wonderful sponge bath. I slept so good last night!
