Hey everybody.  I'm almost 5 wks out.  I went to dr on feb 1st.  since then, my scales still say the same as they did on the 1st.  What's up??  I'm getting in about 65g pro and on most days all of my fluids and I'm exercising.  I've been really constipated and started retaining water again so I've been taking fiber and my water pill.  Could these things be the cause of the numbers not going down?  Hubby says to call Dr but I wanted to hear from the veterans first.  Especially if this is something normal.  It's kind of discouraging to go through all of this to not see the numbers go down!!!  PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey!  Don't be to discouraged, this is truly normal.  I went through the same thing from week 4-7.  Your body is in what is called "starvation mode".  It is trying to hold on to everything it can.  It Will pass, so stay true to your program.  I remember thinking , "Oh No! I'll be the only one this surgery did not work for!" Hang in there, it will get better and you will continue to keep losing!

Absolutely normal sweets! Just hang in there and keep doing what you are doing, the scales will move again. These little stalls along the way are frustrating but they are part of the journey. Usually, after one of these stalls, you can expect to see a bigger drop when the scale does move again. Kind of like an apology for holding up progress. LOL You're doing great!

I agree with Susan and Scott.  Personally I lose in chunks.  I lose 5 pounds and then "Hold Please" for 3 weeks.  Sometimes the scales don't move for a month and then I will gain 2 and lose 6.  Very strange but that is just the way it happens.  Just follow the rules and don't worry about the scales.

Hugs!

Thanks everyone for the replies.  I'm glad to know that it's normal.  I'm like Scott though in thinking that I might be the one it didn't work for.  Thank you all for all the support and encouragement you've given to me and everyone else.  You're such a great group of people and I hope I can come to the next lunch or dinner.  I'm trying to get a picture to put on my profile.  Scott- you may have to help me put it up!!  Thanks again

whhheeee glad  its not just me I've eating nothing but protein tried to do my best with vitamins and water and lost 30 lbs the fist 15 days since then nothing not a drop not a oz pised as heck that i gave up all my old favs and nothing I was like i've lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks a bunch of various diets but I had my guts rearanged and can't have a cheesburger lol my fav thing in the world and for what for the scale not to move lol i'm waiting and waiting and just keep doing my best and hope it will. LMAO not like I can go back and change my mind now huh. And I also have the same constipation issues. So think that has something to do with it My cycle is also messed up working on over 2 weeks late now so figure that also could be an issue. So anyway hope it moves soon for you and me.
