Hey you guys!!!!!!!!!!

I sure have missed you all. I'm just on for a bit cause I just have to know how things are going. If my post stops making sense at any time, that just means my pain pill kicked in. I'm doing very well. I still don't have much of an appetite and am having to rely on protein drinks and Mel's protein jello to make sure I get my nourishmen****er is no problem except suddenly all I want is plain water, no flavoring. Stuff tastes weird again. I'm guessing my body has gone back in to ketosis and is messing with my taste buds. Bill is taking excellent care of me. Today he gave me a sponge bath and shampooed my hair. I am a happy girl! I go back to Dr. Wagstrom tomorrow and I hope she removes a couple of the drains. I'm supposed to pick up a second girdle too. That means we will be able to wash this one. Overall, the pain has not been as bad as I imagined it would be. I am very sore and stiff though. I did spend a second night in the hospital because I was having a difficult time with nausea and lightheadedness each time I tried getting up. Let me tell you, the dry heaves hurt with the large, fresh incisions I had. Near as the nurse could tell, Dr. Wagstrom removed about 10 lbs. I'll ask her tomorrow and see if she has a more accurate figure. I just know my tummy, midriff, and hips are flatter than I can ever remember. Gotta go so I can make it back to the recliner before the meds kick in fully.  I love you all! I'm glad to see everyone had such a good time Saturday. I look forward to seeing everyone on the 29th.

SusieQ. How are those drains?  Aren't they FUN?  Glad to see you posting, and hope you get back to us real soon!  We miss you too!

The drains are a hoot! I look like I have a bunch giant grapes hanging from my waistband. They haven't been too uncomfortable though. I was hoping to lose a couple of them yesterday but the nurse said they never remove them before a full week post-op. All of my incisions looked good though. I did get a second girdle yesterday so I was able to change. That other one was so nasty! Now that I have 2 to swap around, I don't feel quite so cruddy.

Susan, I am so glad to see you post. I was wondering about you this am hoping you were feeling better. I am glad you are doing good. Keep us posted on you and take care of yourself. Brenda

Susan,  So, the pain isn't as bad.  That is good!!  I am glad that Bill is taking good care of you.  We only would expect the best from Santa.  :-) Take care and feel better.  Can't wait to see you in March or sooner.   Always,   Tawnya

It is so good to hear from you....now you must follow your own advice dear.....

Rest...Rest.....Rest....., drink fluids and get protein and then Rest some more.

Take it easy and if you need anything at all...You have my numbers!!!

Hey Susan, Glad to hear you are doing so well.  Hang in their, it will be just a matter of time and you won't remember any of the physical pain and you will be running circles around us.  Even though I'm a "newbie", I am looking forward to the day I can be where you are now.  Hope to see you soon.
