Melinda knows what she is talking about when it comes to making protein paletable.  Case in point:  I love micellar milk but they have stopped making it.  It is my absolute favorite protein and I love drinking it every day.  I am so sad...every time I find something to love...it disappears.  Oh well, after throwing myself a heck of a pity party I began my pouting ritual and decided that there would never be a protein that I "loved" ever again in my whole life.  Oh woe is me....poor, poor pitiful me!!! Well...yesterday at the luncheon, Melinda and I were in the kitchen and I was telling her how much I disliked the texture of the LaBrada  RTDs.  She explained that I needed to thin them out with some Carb Countdown and ho****er (for warm drinks.) While this seems pretty simple, if you don't know to do it...well, you get my point!   I tried it this morning and it is marvelous!!!  No thick icky nasty texture...now funky aftertaste...just a delicious thin latte.      I am just so thrilled I can hardly stand it!!!!   So thank you, Melinda!  You made my picky protein pallet happy again.  Bye, bye mice milk...hello LaBrada! Happy Sunday, Ya'll!!! Freddie

I'm here taking notes on all this.  I love my coffee in all forms, so all this is very helpful.  Bob, if you find a good deal on an espresso machine, please let me know! It was great to meet you yesterday, and I hope you find Whole Foods very soon.  There's also a smaller and easier store on Woodland Street (East Nashville) called the Turnip Truck that I like a lot.  They're located at Five Points, and have a web site. Bob, there are three different very popular coffee syrups... Torani, Monin, and also Davinci.  Davinci supposedly is the provider for Starbucks.  On the back of Starbucks syrups, it says "made for Starbucks" but not just "Starbucks" suggesting that another  company makes it. Anywayyyyyyyyy.....  not that it has anything to do with starbucks! lol  Just an interesting observation.  Yes we sure could not do without our sugar free syrups, labrada lean body or our drug, I mean, our ready to drink protein of choice... whatever yours might be...   some liked micellar.  I did until I came upon the labrada.   But its trial and error.  If its too thick, add some hood calorie countdown milk.  the big difference between protein powders and ready to drinks is seen when you try to heat them up.  the ready to drinks are pretty much able to be heated in microwaves to high temps, however the protein powders are not.  they "cook" your protein and it becomes very lumpy and gross.  So if you are doing a cold drink, go for the protein powder.  If you are wanting to heat it up real good, do a ready to drink.  Hope this helps.

Yea I've got Davinci also I guess sense its made in Seattle and Starbucks owns Seattle that's the connection. But I think the Davinci is smaller and pricer. But ok the Labrada is the protein milk? The Hood was the milk you had me try yesterday, right. Now the Hood is this found in the reg. milk section or the condense milk section and what about the Labrada? Yes Jane I'll be looking for a espresso machine for you, great seeing you too. Bob

Espresso machine?  Who is getting a new espresso machine?  I want one!  As a matter of fact...Doug and I were searching just this morning.  We have just about decided on the Francis! Francis! X1. Does anyone have one?  We think we will love it.  Perfect combination of art and functionality. Currently we have a little Briel Artemus.  It was a great deal when we got it and God knows I have used it several times a day for the past three or four years.   I have seen them on Ebay for less than $50.00 (I paid three times that when I bought mine.)   So what kind of machines do you have? Do tell!!! Freddie

Freddie, I have a Krups, had it for probably 20+ yrs. still works great. Still waiting for Malinda to educate me on the LaBrada and Hood milk? Is the LaBrada protein milk? Malinda gave me a taste of the Hood milk, but do you find that in the milk section and what about the LaBrada. Thanks Bob
