Hello Everyone! I didn't see an introduction area. If I missed it, I apologize. I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Jessica. I'm 30 and currently live in Clarksville, TN. My husband is in the army and stationed at Fort Campbell. We have two kids, Job (8) and Belle (5). I had a laparoscopic RNY on December 17, 2007. I'm about 2 months post-op and I've lost 35lbs. so far. (according to the scale at my doctor's office. I don't weigh at home.) Despite the weight loss, I'm still regretting my decision to have it done. I've had some minor issues. Well, they've been major issues to me, but that's mostly because I'm dramatic. I've had some pain that my doctor will be taking a closer look at tomorrow with an endoscopy. I'm hoping it's nothing serious, but something that can be fixed, because some days it's hard functioning with the pain. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all. Good Luck to you all on your wls approaching and in meeting your weight loss goals. ~Jessica~

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I'll definitely let you all know what is discovered, if anything. It could be a number of things ranging from not so serious to needing minor surgery serious. I appreciate the good luck vibes you're sending my way. Scott - Too neat that we had our surgeries a day apart. Have you been doing well? Did you start on a soft/regular diet already? Anyway, take care and I'm glad things are going smoothly for you. ~Jessica~

Hi Jessica!

Welcome to the Tennessee Forum!  We're glad you are here!  Sorry to hear that you are having trouble.  Let us know what your doctor says.  Hopefully it is just a minor issue.  You are not very far out from your surgery so be patient with yourself.  After all...it was major surgery!

Big smile!

Freddie

Hi Jessica. Welcome to the TN board. Congrats on your weight loss so far. I am sorry to hear that you are having some problems. Just know it is normal to have the "What did I do" feeling. I think everyone has that feeling at one time or another. Even though it has been close to 8 weeks, you are still recovering from a major surgery and it is not something you can bounce back from. I personally could not believe how rough it was to recover from. It took me at least 6 weeks to have any kind of energy back. That was the worst part. I ended up in the hospital for a few days about 8 to 10 weeks after surgery and it ended up it was an ulcer and they stretched the bottom "opening" of my pouch a little with the scope because it was a little tight from the healing. I really hope they figure out what is going on with you so you get to feeling better. Keep us updated.
