April, Where are you?

has anyone heard from April?  I know that Nicholaus is making his grand entrance this month, but I can't remember when she is due.  I haven't seen her post in quite a while.    Beth

I'm here.... stillllll pregnant..reallllly super tired! I had a horrible doctor's appointment wednesday for my 38 week check up and haven't felt the same since. Well the story... I'm scheduled for a *possible* induction for the 18th. Possible meaning if I have progressed and my cervix is favorable for induction. It is only 2 days before my estimated due date, but apparently my OB has 10 women including myself all due during the same time so she is trying to get us to labor at different times so she doesn't overextend herself. My last appointment, my doctor attempted to make my cervix favorable for me by essentially using her finger to open it...can we say painful!! Worse than any pain I had ever experienced...It was very traumatic for me..it was so painful and I never expected it. She couldn't feel Nick in the birth canal either meaning he hadn't dropped yet into position..so she was pushing from top and bottom of the uterus at the same time to see where exactly he was...she could never feel him. But, I seriously thought if labor pains were worse than what I experienced, then there is no way i can go through it lol I will just keep my legs closed... Nick seems rather comfy in his little water world...maybe he can just stay there lol

Misty, I got your message, I just haven't had a chance to reply. I hope everything is going well for you....and that you don't have to go through what I did!! lol

So anyways, I have my 39 week appointment on Wednesday. Please pray for me and my cervix lol If I haven't dialated any, then I'll have to have the same "procedure" again and I really don't think I can handle it. If there is no dialation, then there is no induction on the 18th and I'll probably go past my due date. It is no big deal to me if I don't get induced on the 18th...but I'd rather have Nick in my arms sooner than later. There is a full moon on the 21st though lol

Thanks for thinking of me!! You all will definitely know when Nick makes his appearance!

April ~ I'm a little behind and trying to catch up on all the news... so sorry you had to go through that appt. like that! How did Wednesday's appt. go? Are you still scheduled for Monday, or she going to just let you wait until Nick decides it's time?  Lots of mommy-hugs to you! It won't be long now! Enjoy your sleep!!! ~ Tara

Thanks Tara! My doctor was much nicer at my last appointment...at least she didn't put me in agonizing pain like last time but we had to cancel for Monday due to my "unfavorable" cervix...ugh. I had to schedule another prenatal appointment for this upcoming Tuesday. I was hoping wednesday would have been the last...but oh well. It is just as well... I've been in bed sick with a horrible chest infection/cold..I'm feeling much better but not 100%...so its best Mr. Nicholas stays put a little longer ...at least until I'm feeling better :-) I haven't had any contractions or any "feelings" that labor is close to happening...I've been praying for something..some kind of pain..anything lol! So my next appointment is Tuesday and hopefully my body is doing what it needs to be doing to get this kid out! lol
