Check In after the storms, PLEASE
It was nasty here in Pleasant View, but I think most everything is ok. I will know better when I leave for work in a minute or two. Our prayers are with the many who weren't so lucky last night. Already heard of co-workers who have downed houses, etc. Praying also for calm, sunny skies today to recover belongings.

Thankfully, it went to either side of us. Literally. At 1:30-2:00am I was watching and Antioch and that end of Davidson county was in one block of red, Smyrna was clear, then M'boro and the rest of Rutherford county was in red --- the red indicating where the severe weather was gonna hit.
Sure hope all our friends are ok!

at midnight the darn alarms kept going off i just put pallents in my closet and let my kids sleep in there last night so they were as safe as possible and left the tv on all night listening for warnings lucky for us it hit all around us but never on us. If someone would have warrned me about this crap i don't know if i'd moved here lol my hubby is from jackson we were just there the day before having lunch with one of his friends now half the place is messed up bad
All fine at the Parker house. I was here by myself and the 3 dogs and 4 pups, of course they all wanted in my lap, they all hate storms. Once, I couldn't find one of the pups, I could hear her hollar, so I followed the sound into the laundry room and she had gotten over behind the dryer, so I had to pull it out and get her, she was scared to death. Phil was dowtown working the Predators game, so he not only had to think about himself, but had 17,000+ people that he had to help stay save. The announced with about 3 mins to go in the game what was going on and for everyone to stay calm and we all know what happens when we get told that. They finally decided to move everyone downstairs, there is a tunnel that goes under Broadway over to the Convention Center, so that tunnel is where they all waited it out. I was worried of course, but it sounds like they was prepared for something like this. He said the hardest thing was trying to keep people from going and looking out the windows. He was on his scooter and had to actually block people from leaving their section. It's a wonder they didn't turn him and the scooter over trying to get out. Glad to hear that all is ok from the ones that posted. Waiting to hear from others. I know that Barb has relatives that go to Union Univ someone has gone to get them, they are fine, just real shaken up . Praying for all the familes that have been affected by this.....Cheryl
All is well at the Summers house. We did however find a lost dog wandering in our yard and so we have a temporary new dog until we find his mommy. I know that someone is looking for him. He is a darling little black and white shih tzu. He is very sweet but he tried to mark my couch so I had to put a diaper on him so that he will not leave a trail!!!!
