Pre-op diet over 50% complete
Hey Guys, Just an update on my progress...I had my monthly visit with my PCP last week as part of the 6 mo supervised weight loss plan required by my ins...I AM OVER HALF WAY THERE...I was very very discouraged after finding this 6 mo thing was something I HAD TO DO...But when life throws you lemons make lemonade...I have been using this time to prepare myself mentally, and physically for the changes post op...I have had only 3 or so carbonated beverages since Jan1...I am trying to learn to eat slowly and chew chew chew...and this by far is the biggest challenge for me...I never realized just how quickly I eat, even when I am not in a hurry...anywho not meaning to go on and on, but I am just so excited that I am over half way there...Hopefully I will have surgery sometime in April! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!
Hey Chrissy~ I think you are using this time wisely. I used my 6 month pre-op to do the same thing and I feel like it really has helped me in the long run a whole lot. I for one would not have wanted to go into this surgery having eaten my last meal or gorged out on anything. If I had, I would have already feeled like I would have "cheated" with the band, especially. I had to use my time learing how to eat and eat healthy and slow with small bites. And that was using small utensils too, that I still use. Good luck with everything and these last three months will go by pretty fast. Hugs, Tammy P 526/253.8

Hey Girl! That is so awesome that you are half way through the 6 months....it is also great that you are already trying to prepare yourself for what it will be like after surgery. I did this and I am so glad that I did......I never realized how much I drank while I ate!!!! Hang in there you are doing awesome.
