Hi everyone! I am going on vacation to your beautiful state in April, and I am so excited, because this is the first real vacation my kids and I have taken.  My excitement is somewhat tempered by trepidation.  We have a lot of plans, and most are fine, but my concerns are Zorbing, Dollywood, and Ripley's 4D theater.  I am a size 18 and concerned about size restrictions (I noticed that there were notes at the Dollywood site about "guests of exceptional size").  Has anyone had any experience with these attractions, and will I be able to have fun like a normal person! As a side note, does anyone know of any promo codes before I order all of these tickets full price? Thanks so much, and looking forward to my time in TN! Carrie

I don't feel 18 falls into the category "exceptional size"...so I think you will be fine... I can only speak for Dollywood...I have never had problems with the rides there... Have Fun!!!  Enjoy your vacation... Who knows...By April your size 18 may be far, far, behind you!

Hi Carrie I'm a size 26 and a season pass holder to Dollywood......you will have a great time with no problems........sorry I don't know of any promo codes for tickets but if you would be able to visit again this year the season passes are good value---the gold pass saves you 20% on most everything (food, souveniers) and on parking.......hope you have a safe and fantastic vacation!!!!! The Food City's around the Knoxville area sale passes through March at a discounted price...it may save you a little bit.
Also try the Dollywood website.
Have fun!!

Hi Carrie. I think you and the kids will have a lot of fund in the Gatlinburg area. It is beautiful. And no, you will not have a problem with your size. Unless they are having a special online or you feel like you really have to, I would say to wait and buy the tickets when you get there. Most of the time, you can get coupons for Dollywood and Ropleys when you get to Gatlinburg at the hotels. It is usually just for a couple of dollars but if there is no rush to buy, then you can save those fe dollars. Also, if you plan to do more than one Ripley item, they have package deals. There is a fairly new place called WonderWorks up in the area and although a little pricy, is well worth going to - especially if you have kids. Hope you have a great vacation.
