Hormone Replacement Therapy
Ok, we all know who we are...and we know why we have to take hormone replacement therapy as we approach our 50's or sooner if you have had the plumbing removed! Well, listen to this old nurse. Don't forget about it after surgery! I have been taking PremPro for years, but after surgery, I couldn't take it because it can't be crushed. So, I took nothing, and many of you remember how fragile, scared, and just plain crazy I was. It was the sudden stopping of the hormones that did it! So, I advise pre ops to talk to their GYN about getting on a patch prior to surgery. I think it would have made a HUGE difference for me. Just my 2 cents worth.
