Help my sister is considering gastor bypass and she needs to find a doctor in the Nashville or Brentwood area that will document her weight loss prior to get approved for the surgery Can any one help me Teresa  08/17/2004

Does she already have a PCP? She can go to them and they will document it. Mine did. If not, I really can not recommend one since mine is in madison and probably to far for her. I think Susan has a good one in Nashville that she would recommend.

Hi Teresa! I don't know who your sister is planning to use as her surgeon but I know that at Baptist they have a 6 month supervised weight loss program that you can do.  Any PCP can document the weightloss though. Good Luck! Freddie

Thanks you for your response Yes she has a PCP but she does like this she is does think they will document the weight loss progress right so she is looking for a new pcp that support the gastro bypass Teresa

If she has picked a surgeon she could call that office and see if the would recommend someone. That's what I did because I knew my PCP would not be on board with this option.
