Support Group

Got A Question... Just starting my wl journey. Jumped through all the insurance hoops and thats been submitted. But Vandy requires two support group visit either there, or locally (I live in Clarksville) or on the internet. I travel alot but I'm always able to get on the internet. They suggested this web site and said simply print off something showing what you've done. I'm not sure exactly what they want? Do really get alot out of reading your messages, sometimes their the questions I would have asked, so it's great to know others have the same questions or feelings. Thanks hope somebody has a answer. There are 3 local support groups in the Clarksville area. 1 is at gateway. I believe its every 4th Monday at 6 pm. There is also one in Hopkinsville. Not sure of the time or place on that one. Then there is the one on Fort Campbell. They meet 2 times a month and its always a monday at 6 pm. The next one for ft campbell is Feb 4.

Hi Bob. I was surprised and happy when I went to the last seminar at Vandy and they had the Obesity Help website included on there slide show. They did say they would include participation on this website as part of the required support group meetings. I know we/this board meet locally (in Nashville)  twice a month but I am sure they said they will also include postings. So, I think if you just post a few posts of any questions you have, you can print off showing you asked questions and got answers and participated. I am sure that will suffice. So, if you have any questions, let us know in seperate posts. By the way, Congrats on your submission for insurance. I hope it gets approved quickly.

Hi Bob, Centennial is starting a support group for men only - the first meeting is this Saturday at 10:00 AM at 2200 Murphy Avenue (Tace Building) Nashille. It is open to any male in the area pursuing surgery regardless of where they have their surgery or if they are preop. or postop. We would love it if you can make it.
