Hi Y'all I'm Kinda New
I've only posted about 4 times, about a couple of time here and a couple of times on the main board. I'm anxiously waiting for my surgery on Feb. 12 th with Dr. Dyer at Centennial Medical Center. I go to meet with the nutritionist and get my pre-op Ekg and bloodwork done this Wed. Jan. 31st.
I'm thrilled and nervous all at the same time. I've researched wls for 3 yrs. and I've decided to have the RNY. I'm so happy to have a TN board, it makes me feel at home.
How much protein drink powder should I be buying right now? I've tried the unjury sample packs and liked those but I don't know if I should order a big jar of each flavor or if I need to order the Nectar protein tea or what? Please help !!!!

Welcome to the Board and Congrats on your surgery date. As far as protein it is usually a good idea to get sample packs because your taste will change after surgery and something you like now you may not like afterrwards and save you the expense of buying a lot of protein you may not use. Wish you the best !
Like Juanita said, get the sample packs and wait until after surgery to even try them. Your tastes will change so much after surgery. For the first few weeks nothing is going to taste very good to you.
The best place to get the sample pack is bariatriceating.com. Their pack contains several brands and flavors so you will have a good chance of finding something you like. Also, if you live in the Nashville area and can come to either the luncheons or dinners (or both) we are all more than willing to share samples of our favorite protein supplements for you to try.
Your date will be here before you know it.

Hi and Welcome!
My surgery is set for 1/30. I got some samples of different proteins I read all the boards here at the TN site and everything tells me to wait on big purchases as my taste will likely change.
I took a long time in my decision too so I know what you mean about having a TN board to come to!
Best of luck!
