Ok need your help. Lately I have had a lot of dizziness and a lot of trouble sleeping. I know first thing you say is Call your doctor right? Well... here is my delima My primary doctor is no longer practicing, everyone at Vanderbilt has left such as Christian, Dr Torquati, Jennifer everyone it seems. I am at a loss and was hoping someone could recommend a primary or tell me would another Bypass doctor at different hospital see me if I didn't have surgery there?

Wow, I can't believe Jennifer and Christian left! They sometimes came to the support group that meets in Springfield so I've met them and have had a couple of conversations with them. I'm sure if you contact the bariatric program at Vandy, they'll be able to point you in the right direction. I'm sure they still have your records....Surely they wouldn't have just dropped patients to fend for themselves when staff leaves. I hope you get to feeling better soon. *hugs*

I wish I knew. I know Dr Torquati went to Yale if I am not mistaken . I just recently heard about Christian and Jennifer so not sure what happened with them.

I have a couple of recommendations for primary doctors. My first choice is Dr. Robert Neaderthal of course. He has been my primary for a number of years and now has a number of WLS patients. He is now sharing a practice with a female doctor but I have not met her. His number is 321-4646. He is located in the 20th Avenue Bldg across from the Baptist ER. If you prefer a female primary, Dr. Margaret Stolz is also in the 20th Ave Bldg. Dr. Stolz has been my daughter's PCP since she was a teenager. Angela absolutely loves her! I can tell you that both of these doctors are very easy to talk to and take the time to really listen to their patients. I would certainly check with someone at Vandy. You are going to have to establish a relationship with another bariatric surgeon now that Dr. Torquati is gone. You can always call Baptist or Centennial and see if they will take you as a patient since your doctor has left. I know Dr. Spaw has taken on some patients who have moved here from out of state. It never hurts to ask. It sounds to me though like you have something going on that is not related to your surgery and you really need to see a primary. Good luck sweetie. I hope you can get some answers as to what is going on.

Thank you Susan I will call Dr. Robert Neaderthal . I am hoping this is something minor but it never hurts to have it checked out.

Hey Juanita,   I "stole" Dr Neaderthal from Susan!  lol  I think he is fantastic.  He actually takes the time to talk WITH his patients and explains things.  He is very thorough and I found him to be competent (which doesn't happen very often since I've been a nurse! lol).  Hope you get to feeling better soon.  ~~Elena
