Hey there, Julie! 70 pounds is fabulous!  Remember that this is not a contest but rather a new life.  How are you doing with your protein?  Are you getting in 80 grams a day?  If not...your little body may think it it starving and refuse to let any weight go.   Just keep doing the right thing and it will pay off. Big hug! Freddie

70lbs in 5 months!! That is great!! But if you're not eating, you're not going to lose like you need to lose. Your body is going to hold on to everything in fear of starving. You really need to get your protein in! If you're having problems eating you need to contact your surgeon so they can figure out whats going on. Protein is ESSENTIAL. Weight loss stalls are very common as your body adjusts to surgery. Take measurements every couple of weeks as well as weighing yourself. A lot of time, you will see inches lost when you haven't lost a pound...also, depending on your beginning weight, you will not lose as much as quickly as someone who weighed more. Please call your doctor Monday so you can get some food in!

I have to agree with the other's. Three saltines a day is harldy enough to supplement your boday and it is probably haning on to the weight to prevent starvation. Please do call yor surgeaon and let them know about the issues you are having with eating. You really need your protein. But I have to say 70 lbs in 5 months is great.

I had RYN in August, i have been drinking the protien shakes. i just thought i was needing to eat more solid foods by now. my starting weight was 247lbs and i am know 177lbs. i just see alot of people drop real fast so i was  "like am i doing things right??" but i do appreciate all the advise. i talked to my nut and she said (like all of you) to make sure i get the protein in, so i have been. thanks so much for the help, i do take a med for sleep and before surgery it made me sleep eat. now it makes me hungry but i drink a shake when it does. maybe i need to find a different med to sleep with. againm THANK ALL OF YOU!!!!
