Decided to Wait...

After talking to hubby, we decided that I would wait a year for surgery.  I honestly hate to but with my insurance screw up ( see "Question about Self Pays")  I really cannot afford to pay OOP.  I am 33 so I guess it wont kill me to wait another year, as bad as I hate to.  BUT if for some reason insurance gets screwed up again or I get denied next year, I will scrounge money together for it SOMEHOW.  My health is actually doing better since I have gotten about 20 # off.  I was at 272 this time last year and now I am at 251.  (I was at 249 two days ago-UGH!)  My BP has gone down and I feel better.  I am not getting as out of breath as before with exercise.  If I feel this great after 20 #, I cannot wait til I get 100 more off!  I am sad I have to wait longer but I truly believe things happen for a reason and for whatever reason I guess now is just not my time.  And so I wait....

There is no need to give up. I had a wonderful friend tell me, to check every 3 mos. I didn't know that ins. companies and your company will change what they cover in thier policies every 3mos. Keep checking that is what happened to me. Mine did the same, so sweetie please don't give up. Please feel free to read my blog, I don't mind. That was back in 06, yea it has been long road, I wish that I had know more about the board, or should I say more about the TN. board, they are a wonderful support group. I didn't allow myself to go that far. I would stay only on the main board, and look at what I missed.  All this time I could have had some of these wonderful folks cheering me on letting me know to check and telling it will be alrite. your weightloss without the help of surgery has been wonderful!! Keep doing it...and perhaps you won't even need the help of surgery a year from now!! Keep up the great work!

That does not mean you have to leave us, so don't!!!  We have all been obese and understand how you are feeling and will help you through your WL regardless if it is without surgery, support is support and we will cheer you on every ounce at a time!!  Next year, if it is the right time and the right choice for you, you will know.  You could start saving money now for surgery just in case it is not covered and if it does, then you will have money to help pay for Plastics after your surgery or a vacation, which ever you choose!! Stay with us, because you are with those that care and understand!!!

Thank you for the help and encouragement-you guys are great!  It is nice to know that I have your support thru this and I will definitely be around posting and reading.  I did not know that aobut the 3 months thing-so that is cool-at least a little hope, huh?  Oh, well, I will keep trying one way or the other!
