3.2 cc in a standard AP Band...

My first fill was yesterday. Dr. Dyer put in 3.2 CC. Is this what you would consider a good size fill? I know everyone reacts differently to their fills, but I am wondering what to expect when I start eating solids again. A little nervous/hopeful that it will be restrictive for a little while. What are the chances of that?  Any input is appreciated and welcome!

Dana - I have the 4cc band, but in my experience, the first fill had little to no effect.  There are some people who the first fill helps.  It is really different for everyone. Try asking on the lap band board so that you can get and idea from people who have the same size band.

The AP must be  a different band than I have ...is this AP band the newer band that they are now using?  My first fill with Dr Dyer was 1.4  I have only been able to have two fills because I  suffer from esophagual problems My esophagus is now a little enlarged so I must be very  careful I now have1.8 in my 4cc band  Dr Dyer has triedt o fill my band  at least 6 times but my esophagus cannot take the pressure of the band tightening. You may post your questions on the lap band board  forum where you should get several  replies ..theres are some there who may have had the same experience as you and  also have this APband which may be somewhat larger and can take a larger fill but, I am not sure.
