Good Morning guys! A post yesterday by ctl70302 got me thinking.  They were asking "Where we come up with recipes".  So I thought it would be a great idea to put together a post with links to several different places.  I'll start it off and if anyone would like to add  a post to it.  Then we will put it together and save it for future reference.   Websites BARIATRIC EATING HUNGRY GIRL LINDA'S LOW CARB RECIPES AND MENUS HIGH PROTEIN FOODS AMOS RECIPES CARB-LITE SPLENDA ALL-RECIPES RECIPEZAAR SOUTH BEACH DIET OBESITY HELP RECIPE BOARD Recipe Blogs THE WOLRD ACCORDING TO EGGFACE EGGFACE'S PROTEIN SHAKES SHRINKING PAMELALALA CARBWIRE WLS GOURMET CHARLIES RECIPES WLS RECIPES 4 LIFE FOOD FOR THOUGHT AND MODERATION TOO ! Food Tracking Sites & Other Stuff SPARK PEOPLE FITDAY THE DAILY PLATE SPARK PEOPLE RECIPE CALCULATOR RESTURANT NUTRITION FACTS

Now, this list is definitely not all inclusive.  I know that everyone one of you out there has your own favorite site to go to.  I know that I will now look at a recipe and decide if I can make it WLS friendly, or at least try.  Anyway, let's see if we can put our heads together and come up with a fantastic list we can share with each other and any body who shows up! Have a great day!

Thanks Scott!!

I think perhaps at one of our luncheons we all should prepare our favorite bariatric friendly recipe and meet somewhere to share with each other. I'm always up for trying new things. I made these little cheesecake tarts last night....though yummy, they were not very appealing to the eye lol They cracked on the top - from what I've read any cheesecake is tempermental like that.

Cheesecake Tarts

12 - Murray's Sugar Free Vanilla Wafers
2 - 8 oz packages of reduced fat cream cheese, room temp.
2 - eggs
1 tsp vanilla *
1/2 cup Splenda

Take the vanilla wafers and place 1 in each cupcake liner in a muffin pan. Set aside.

Take the cream cheese and beat until whipped. Add each egg seperately, mix thouroughly before adding the second egg. Add vanilla, mix, add splenda and mix well.

Fill muffin liner 2/3 full with the batter.

Bake at 350 degree oven for approx 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

April they sound really good right now!  As I was reading the recipe,a thought occurred.  When I make cheesecake, I usally cook it in a ho****er bath.  I wonder if that would help with the cracking.  Anyway, I plan on posting your recipe on my blog, with credit going to you!

Yeah...I've made cheesecakes in water baths....I'm just lazy when it comes to cooking and they usually crack anyways hahaha I actaully came across that receipe on bariatriceating.com messageboard. I can't remember who posted it, but the credit does not go to me unfortunately....I'm not that creative hahaha!

sounds wonderful April, and I love cheescake- or at least I did before surgery.  I am finding out that things I used to like I really don't care for now.  Strange how that works.  I keep hearing people talk about that on this board and thought how does your taste buds change.  But I am most diffently finding that out.  I think I will try them this weekend.  If I won't eat it my husband will.....

Forgot to ask Scott (some sister I am) how are you feeling.  Has work been going okay?  I think you go  to the doctor today - RIGHT?

Scott May I send you the protein packet and you can put it on your website ? It has some recipes ... you might even enjoy them... and a list of grocery stores that carry different good sugar free products... I'm sure there is a lot more to update it with now...
