Tring to find a puppy!!!!!!

I haven't had a dog for 10 years and there has been a hole in my life and I have nagged for one and H hept saying no it hurt to much to lose them well he has finally said to get one but the problem is we can't afford what the breeders are asking for what I want which is a small (10-15 lbs adult weight) long hair dog. We have a cat and Iove her dearly but she doesn't like to cuddle or be held. I would like a puppy but an adult would be ok. I have checked the shelters here and they don't have anything. My 67th birthday is next Tuesday and it would be so great to find something by then. Does anyone know of anyone wanting to get rid of one? Thanks everyone.  Birdy

I saw her picture and I drove from Springfield to Dickson that same day to adopt her.

Birdy- Good Dog Rescue in Memphis has a few little dogs and Hardeman County Animal Control has a beautiful buff colored pom mix, 2 yrs old and housebroken.  Good luck I hope you find yourself a companion. Kim

Sorry I don't anyone that has a puppy but hope you find one ! The others made good suggestions you may also check your local news letter they sometimes have ads for puppies as well.

I know exactly what you mean about wanting a puppy to love on... animals are so therapeutic... and they can give such unconditional love...  My baby Kobe used to come lick my face when I would cry...  and lay on the bed next to me when I was sick.  I miss him so much...  But he is where he needs to be... with His wife Foofoo... LOL and with Mikey...  cause that's the only home he has ever known.  It would be selfish for me to take him away from his home...   I can't wait til Missy comes.  I hope she will love me...  and I hope she is loveable by me...  some animals are not easy to love...  but from what Tim says about her, she will be just perfect. How much are you willing to pay? I know it sounds bad but most dogs/puppies are not free. I may be able to get you a full bred ****er Spaniel for $250.00 I paid 580.00 for mine.
