Feeling better!

I am feeling better today.  I am pretty sure my nausea is from sinus drainage but drinking a hot liquid alone wasn't doing it for me.  I have finally come up with a system that is working for now.  I take liquid Benadryl at bedtime with Flonase.  As soon as I wake up, I drink a cup of hot tea and take a Zofran.  Then I eat a couple of bites of Activia light yogurt.  This worked pretty well yesterday and today.  I tried a few other versions of it before and was nauseous and vomiting all day.  So, for now, I am sticking with this.  Dr Bolar is calling me in some more Zofran and I see my ENT on the 23rd to see what he can do to help. Any ideas on the blenderized diet?  So far, I have had fat free refried beans with melted cheese, and blenderized baked chicken with potatoes and carrots.

Glad you are feelin a little better. You can always try soups, also good when you are sick. Chicken noodle would be good. Also baked fish would be an option for you. Hope your back to yourself soon.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. It sounds like you have found a system that works for you. Yippee!! Pureed food suggestions: Wendy's Chili - puree the whole cup and then reheat the amount you are going to eat chicken, egg or tuna salad - use low fat mayo, dill pickle juice (the chunks of pickle might cause a problem), onion powder and whatever other spices you like. The pickle juice also helps thin it down without sacrificing flavor. scrambled egg, with or without cheese and a little milk to thin. Some folks like some salsa and LF or FF sour cream to thin their scrambled egg. Campbell's Chunky soups - again, blend the entire can and heat the amount you will eat. protein pudding - mix protein powder into the milk before mixing the instant pudding in. Make sure you keep this sealed in an airtight container and consume within 48 hours of mixing. protein jello - replace part of the cold water that is called for with a New Whey protein bullet. Again, keep sealed in airtight containers and consume within 48 hours of mixing. I bought a bunch of those 1/2 cup Ziploc containers to keep my food measured into in the beginning. Shoot, I still use them! I hope there are a few things on here you can use and you continue to feel better each day.

Chilli is good in the blender, if you make your own, you can put turkey in it instead of beef, otherwise, they do have a turkey chilli as well.  I would like to make a suggestion in regards to the yogurt, if you have a Kroger close by, you can get the Kroger brand called Carb Master, it is much lower in carbs and has more protein than some of the others, it may be better than the Activia for you.  You can also check out bariatriceating.com they have some other puree food recipes that you may want to try.  Keep up your spirits, I know EXACTLY how it is to have the nausea, Trust Me!!! I am glad you are feeling a little better.  Susan had all the good ideas for food. That stuff is usually what I ate. I liked the chili from sonic with cheese more than the wendys chili but the sonic chili is a little thicker. Also, deviled eggs or hard boiled eggs were good too. You can get puches of flavored salmon if you like that. I know they have lemon peppered and zesty something. That was soft enough out of the pouch and has a ton of protein.

That is exactly what I am having tonight, my family loves it when I make a crockpot full of turkey chilli and they love my ground turkey or ground chicken meatloaf also!!!  Hope you are doing better and if so, continue on that same path!!
