I can't get past this nausea!  I throw up almost everyday!  The phenergan doesn't help at all.  I had a few Zofran and they helped but they are soooo expensive!  I haven't really been able to progress my diet because of the constent battle with nausea and foamies!  I don't believe that I have a stricture...I wake up the the nausea before I ever eat or drink anything. What do I do?

Hang in there, you will get past this!  My first suggestion would be to call your Dr.  Now if you have done that and still need help, call again!  I really don't which direction to go, except to say you will be and are still in our prayers and thoughts!   Hang in there and keep us informed!

I'm so sorry! I didn't deal w/ this much at all. i had a few dumping sessions, some with nausea/vomiting, some with foamies, but it was always directly after eating something that didn't agree with me, or eating even 2 bites more than I should. To be waking up w/ it... I don't know. I would call the dr - and hate that it's now the weekend. Maybe they have someone on call? Keep us posted! Whatever you find out would be valuable information for someone else, I'm sure! ~ Tara

Hi Sweetie:   I know exactly what you are talking about.  I lived on that street for several months and it was not easy.  The phenegran did not help me either.  I had to stay in the hospital initially longer than expected because the nausea was so bad that it caused me to begin vomiting and then I began to vomit blood.  They had to go back in and reattach a place that I had pulled from the force of the vomiting.  Then about 3 weeks later I was readmitted to the hospital for nausea caused by a new liquid medicine that my primary dr. tried me on.  That cost me a long time in the hospital with nausea and vomiting which leads to dehydration.  The only thing that ever helped me was the Zofran.  They tried everything under the sun and Zofran was the only one.  I know how much it cost Hun I feel your pain.  I have a bottle of Zofran in my purse even as we speak just in case, but I have not needed it for over a year.  Thank God.  My surgeon stated to me that they do not know why some patients experience such a high level of nausea accommodated with the foamies.  He just put me in a small percentage group that gets it and it can't be explained.  They did every test to me under the sun and everything was normal and perfect.  My surgery was a beautiful success.  I am just one of those that gets nauseated and it sounds like you do too.  Please please what ever you do try to find a way to stay hydrated.   You do not want to go back to the hospital.  If you would like I could come help you and sit with you.  I know I am a stranger but I have been there.  Let me know in any way that I can help you through this time.   Truly, Trina

Trina, Thanx so much for the offer!  I am feeling a little better today.  I took the Zofran before I even got up this morning, and that helped.  I am just going to have to get more of them, no matter the cost! Marilyn

Hey Marlyin, sorry to hear that you are feeling so funky. I know the times that I have had the nausea, the phenergan always worked for me. As far as the Zofran, I have never had to take it, but have heard about how much it costs. I hope you get better real soon and get his part behind you. Keep in touch with your Dr, try to drink when you can, maybe try ice chips. Cheryl

Have you tried some warm liquid first thing in the morning? Some of your nausea may be caused by sinus drainage in the pouch. The warm liquid will wa**** out and may help with the nausea. Try sipping some warm broth or bouillion, or warm tea. Just tiny, baby sips to see if it helps. I'm so sorry you are having a rough time right now. Hang in there sweetie, it does get better. Shelia is a prime example. She stayed green for the first 2 months...until we finally got ahold of her and got her off that gawd awful Isopure and she started putting something decent into her pouch.

I was on Isopure or as Susan calls it "IsoPUKE" for many weeks and stayed so sick, once I got off it, I did much better.  We have several protein drinks that you can try that is much better.  I know that an easy one to obtain is the EAS Carb Control shakes, Walmart, Kmart, Krogers, and many other places carry them so you can get your hands on them very easy.  However, there are several others that you can get at places like Vitamin Shoppe or GNC, not to mention over the internet.  If you need advice, just tell us and we can turn you on to all those favorites that are good tasting and you will actually love!!!
