Very thoughtful neighbor

Just when I was feeling like the only person that cared any thing about me was H I get a phone call from the lady across the street and she said she had some clothes for me. There is 2 big trash bags of tops and slacks and jeans in sizes med to x-large there was even a leather jacket and it almost fits, it fits the top but won't close on the bottom. Of cours I will have to hem all the slacks and jeans because I am only 4'11" tall but that is easy enough to do. I will still have to make a few dresses but there are enought clothes there for the rest of my life unless I get smaller than I think I will. It is like a late christmas or early birthday (22nd 67 yrs) gift. Oh by the way I am down to 163 lbs now. I passed my first mini goal of 165. My next goal is to be in the fifties by Feb. 14th. It seems at times like it has been slow but when I look at the whole picture it been pretty good. Have a good weekend every body.  Lee Lee

Congrats Birdy!  It's nice when other people think about us, and remember us little niceties.  I try to treat people like I want to be treated.  sometimes it just does not work out though!  Anyway, congrats on the new clothes and especially the weight loss!  Thats Fantastic!   Keep up the good work, and have a great weekend!

Thanks Scott. I have to kep up the good work I have my very own food police, at my requres****ching over me. I have no will power. I think he enjoys looking out for me since he retired. I just have to have enough will power to let him know I need his help. Take care. Birdy

I understand completely!  When Beth had her surgery, it seemed I fell into the "Food Police" category.  Now 6 months later, the tables have turned.  She is now my conscience, I need all the help I can get! Have a great weekend!

Wow wee Ms. Birdy that is absolutely wonderful. I'm so proud of ya. Yep I got one of thoughs food police, but that alright I love him so much. He's my HERO. That is so sweet that your neighbor saw a need, she sounds like a real sweetie. At the rate that you are go'n you won't have any problem gett'n to that goal, you go girl. I've not had mine for 46 yrs. but I have had him for 26yrs. this Mar. so you kinda get attached to them.  I know how ya feel. LOL. Wouldn't trade them for nothin'. Barb

That is so cool Birdy, we swap out clothes with each other and it's like Christmas all over again. It's funny now, when I try on clothes that I get from others, and they look great on me and before my WLS I probably would have not even considered buying some of the types of clothes, but now I look at clothes in a different way. You are doing great! I'm sure hubby is very proud of you. Don't you just love good neighbors? It sounds like this sweet lady is very proud of your accomplishments. Don't be surprised when the day comes that those clothes are too big. I am 53, 5'3" and wearing small and size 6-8. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Susan. He seems more at ease with me now that I have lost all this weight and more willing to help me. The only thing is it seemed easier before the surgery to lose weight I have to struggle for every pound that comes off and just like always I am hungry from noon until I go to bed at night. I feel cheated because I don't feel like I had my honeymoon period of no hunger. It isn't head hunger because I have that also so I know the differance.  Lee Lee
