SO my husband is deployed....(I am use to it) anyways I went out side tonight to get some papers out of the truck and I never noticed 2 pit bulls behind my truck. Any ways my Baby Dixie (shes a ****er Spaniel) saw them and barked they ran over to her and attacked her. They drug her over to a neighbors yard and across the street as I got them off her she ran home and I was bit and drug down the road My knees hurt so bad ( I am 40 ) I can't take this I am too old. The Guy tried to blame her (his dogs are 100 pounds) but any way waited 45 minutes for a police officer who allowed the dogs to go with their owner home. Any way My husband called I proceeded to cry and tell him about my ordeal and guess what?????? HE BLAMED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I hung up on him. I am so pissed at him right now..... I got bit drug down the road and my baby girl is hurt and he does not as how we are doing, just told me it was my fault. For the record it was in my yard. WAHHHHHHHHH sorry had to cry one last time.

yikes!! Sorry to hear about your rough day!! Why would your neighbor and husband blame you? You didn't tell the dog to attack your dog and you!! What did the police say?

I hate pit bulls... My next door neighbor has 3 pit bulls... and they're so mean looking. He has 2 big ones in a small chain link pen that looks like it will fall down at any second...and a puppy in a larger chain link pen...the puppy doesn't bother me so much. It is the 2 big ones in the small pen. I have never seen him take these dogs out for a walk or anyting so I know they are getting "madder" with each day they're penned in this little area. Big dogs like that need to be exercised! Another thing is, I don't understand why he would keep 2 big dogs in such a little pen, and then a puppy in a larger pen. I'm debating on calling animal control about the situation, but I don't want him to find out I called. Surely there is some rule or law about keeping these animals penned in such small areas??? I'm really good friends with his wife and she doesn't understand her husband wanting to keep these dogs and keeping them penned like he is either and she is frankly peed off that he even has these dogs. He says he wants to breed them...but the female keeps killing her litters! It makes me really nervous thinking about having a baby around here for sure!

Hope you get to feeling better!

APRYL keeping them penned makes them more aggressive. I would be scared too, the thing about these dogs is I would not have moved here If I knew they were in the neighborhood. I would have moved far away the first I have ever seen of them is last night. I guess it is cause I do not let me dogs get away from me they are always close. Here is my baby:

That is terrible that you were attacked by those dogs.  I have not idea how it could be your fault.  Be sure that you have been seen by a doctor and that the bites aren't infected.  I hope that Dixie is doing better too.   Tawnya

Thank you so much! Everyone for your support.

So with great pleasure I get to tell you She is now wagging her tail and letting me pet her. So I am hoping she will let me carry her to the truck some time soon as to get her to the vet.

As for my knee and bit I will worry about that when all is done with my baby.

My guess is they were not on  their leases? If you  are in town, there should be a lease law, and are they up to date on shots? If they took a bite out of ya, you really need to be ckecked out, and make it doesn't matter if your if it was your fault, I would call the police, they are dangerous. Hon, don't let that man blame you. They should be in their own yard not in yours. Bless your heart, are you alrite and your baby, oh I get so mad at folks that can't take care of their own pets. Be careful sweetie. Hugs Barb

Thanks barb! I know there is a leash law and I believe when you are on your own property they have to be under control. I was 3 feet from my front door. Kinda scares me what might have happened if Dixie was not there was she protecting me????? I like to think so cause she is a great dog. Oh wow as I look down she is eating. That is such a great sign.

I'm glad your baby is showing signs of feeling better. How has she been today? I must say, I'm a little more worried about you - have you had a tetanus shot in the past 10 years? If so, good. If not, get thee to a dr or walk-in clinic NOW! We want to meet you happy and healthy tomorrow afternoon! Are you still planning on coming? ~ Tara
