2 yrs old
I can't believe that my birthday was yesterday and that it's been 2 years since my surgery. Time just seemed to fly by. I was so thrilled yesterday when I got on the Dr.'s scale at my GI appointment. On Monday I weighed 125, Tuesday their scale at my PCP said 127, yesterday it said 131.5. Now we all know how off these Dr.'s scales are. There would have been no way I could weigh that amount and slide into my size 6 jeans. Even my hard belly is no longer hard and swollen. I had a stricture causing me to not be able to have a decent bowel movement. As for the pancreas, there's nothing they can do about the flare ups but pain medication, and moniture my sugar levels. Today i was #74. I see my other GI when i get back to Lebanon next week regarding the scope he did checking out my pouch. I may have to go back on Diabetic pills but not a strong mg. to help keep my sugar in normal range. I just blame it on the leukemia and the blood that is full of cance cells affecting my organs. But I am not going to worry about it, it's in God's hands. Nashville traffic will probably kill me before the leukemia does.
Love to all and thank you for your prayers. I see Dr. Colquitt on Wednesday before I head home that day.
Kathy
