Hi Misstilly, I do, I wear a necklace.  It has on it that I've had gastric bypass, allergic to PCN and bee stings.  I carry a card and a sheet listing my Dr.'s, Emergency call number, my medical problems, medication that I take and when, and all allergies.  It will list in the medical problems to not put the NG tube down the nose as it can rupture the pouch.  They are to use the endoscope instead.  It's easy to sign up, just call 1-800-IDAlert.  It will save you life regarding putting that tube down your throat instead on your nose.  The tube is forced into your nose and is over 3' of tubing.  I highly recommend it.   Love Kathy

I wear the same bracelet I have worn for years. I have been a member of MedicAlert since I was 12 and we learned I am deathly allergic to penicillin. Over the years I have added allergies to bee stings and codeine because this is the information that even a "Good Samaritan" would need to assist me in an emergency that rendered me unable to speak. I have added my surgeon's name and contact info to my data at MedicAlert. I have also added the type of WLS I had, the date and "no blind NG tube". In the event of an emergency, there is a phone number and a member ID number on my bracelet. Medical personnel can call and get all of my medical information as well as emergency contact info and the names and phone numbers of my doctors. They also have data concerning all of the medications I take (only 1 prescription now), surgeries I have had and all of my health conditions. I can update my information online at any time to keep it current.

If you don't have any other reason for having one, here is what I have on mine.

RNY WLS

No NSAIDS

No Blind NG tubes

If you have other problems then I suggest you have one like Susan's with a phone # that the EMS can call and get all of your info.
