New member saying hello.
Hello. I am a new member and wanted to introduce myself. I live in Meridianville, AL. I had a heart attack a little about 6 years ago which resulted in a stent and pacemaker. Since then I have gained over 120 lbs. Everyday tasks - tying shoes, walking up stairs, tossing ball with my grandson, etc. - have become very difficult. I tire very quiclkly and am short of breath.
I plan to have surgery by Dr. Richards at Vanderbilt as soon as I can get everything approved and set up. Although I am definitely excited and optimistic, I must admit I am also somewhat apprehensive and downright scared. I realize the risks are minor in comparison to the rewards, but it is still a major deal. Having said that, I am ready to have the surgery and get started on my journey to a slimmer, healthier, and happier me!
Anyways, just wanted to say hello and hope to learn a lot from you folks.
