Update on ME

I'm in a pretty good mood... we have this weight loss thing at work we started last quarter and our weight in for next quarter was today... I lost 9 lbs... in a 3 month period. But 9 lbs to loose on my own is AWESOME. On another note... Mr Morton's office called and said she spoke with my insurance again and she was told that my case was submitted to the Medical Board for review... so more waiting for me! I just hope they hurry. This is taking forever! Thanks everyone for all your support!

I have decided to take each day of the "waiting" to try to adjust to the after surgery life...chewing slowly, changes in food choices, no carbonation...things like that...I have about 3.5 mos left of the 6 month Dr. weight loss thing...Thank goodness I started seeing my PCP monthly before just in case...Everything will work out for you ...you are in very very good hands! Congrats on the Weight Loss

Thanks Chrissy... I also have been trying to do that.... drinking nothing but Crystal Light and water. Some tea at home, I need to get some splenda so I can get use to the taste. But dang I've been hungry all day!!! Good thing I don't have money for the vending machine!!! LOL I still say we get Dr Morton to do ours same day... then we can be Band Twins! Although I would like to have mine like last week. Just gotta see how much $ the hospital is going to want up front.

That would be cool having surgery the same day..as far as the up front money...ask them about payment plans...surely they have something like that available...most hospitals do.

By the way did you ever get your psyc eval scheduled?

I spoke with Amy about the payment plan... she said Dr Morton would do that but as for the hospital I'd have to call them once everything is approved and they know how much $ I gotta pay outta pocket and she said they are usually pretty good at working something out too. I did get my psyc eval scheduled for Feb 1st w/ Dr Scales. I found him on my insurance web site and call him. His office said they would take the copay and bill my insurance. So that worked out well.

Does he know it is a Psyc eval for WLS?  I am always afraid if it is something they don't approve of their eval may be skewed!!!

Way to go on the 9lb loss!!! Keep it up while you're waiting.... less to lose in the long run!! ;-)

Way to go with the weight loss!  You have got a beautiful "can do" attitude!  Hang in there!

Chrissy, yes he is one that does those evals I asked that first thing... And thanks everyone this is so nerve wrecking, but hopefully soon I will know more.
