I thought they all sounded like wonderful plans.  I like the walton's too.  I do still go out and party quite a bit, but the bad thing about New Years Eve is that everyone and his brother (you know the Hermit) gets out and it has been so long since they've been out that they drink and just get stupid and then drive.  I just don't like to take the risks of being one of their victims, so unless they drive into the house (which isn't likely since I live about 1/2 mile off a back wood country road) I will only have to worry about me acting stupid.  LOL Anyhoo, what ever everyone decides to do, I hope you all have a wonderful start to what is gonna be a great year. darlene

Well, hubby is at a teen lock in tonight since they were short of male chaperones so he'll be useless tomorrow after staying up all night. We will probably do our usual early to bed, set the clock for midnight, kiss each other Happy New Year and go back to sleep. I admit it, we are old and boring.  On the fun side...I am making fondue for our celebration supper tomorrow night. I got an electric fondue pot for Christmas so we'll have vegetable broth fondue with veggies and seafood, cheese fondue with bread for hubby and shrimp for me, and SF chocolate fondue with fruit for dessert.

Susan - fondue sounds wonderful! have fun with that! My kids seem to think they can make it to midnight & want to stay up - so we're gonna give it a shot. John had to work today and has to work tomorrow, but he's usually up till midnight anyway, so it won't really effect him -- just the rest of us. (but we can sleep tomorrow!)  LOL So, after dinner, we'll watch a movie (or two) then play some games. I'm afraid if we play the games first, and then watch movies, they'll fall asleep in the middle of the movie. (Which would actually be ok with me, but I know would disappoint them.) I assume we'll have Dick Clark on, but probably not really watchin' it. That being said, I had told them they could stay up and watch the Titans game last night and they both went off to bed - and directly to sleep - at 8:30p, so we'll see how all this goes! I'll let you know how "memorable" it was - ha ha (I'm all for a New Year's Eve party next year.) ~ Tara
